I had fabulous service. A glitch in a DVR outside the 30 day replacement period and the unit was replaced with a new one with absolutely no hassle. I was mightily impressed with STRONG and service. Very unusual and welcome in these days of remote call centres. Also very impressed with the replacement!!

I received the remote today and wish to thank you for your prompt action and courtesy. When I first had trouble with the remote soon after purchase, I phoned in and was told how to update the software. It was a pleasure to phone a company and actually talk to and receive help from a real person who could speak English, rather than wait for an hour on the end of a phone line to speak with someone in India. Then later I was able to contact you by email and discuss my problem. I have no hesitation in recommending the product and the services available to any of my friends who are in the process of updating their TV reception.

Dear Gavin, Thanks again for you very prompt reply and suggestions. All I ended up having to do was press the format button a few times to increase the 570 to 1080 and all fixed. So simple. You must go crazy with simple to you inquiries like mine but a real pain in the neck for consumers. Can I suggest your company put a few more hints on how to fix problems on the FAQ website page. On the plus side I can't fault you're on line help. Trust they pay you well. I've gone from disliking Strong to maybe buying another unit. Thank you again and wishing you a happy life. Thanks to Gavin and Raj who helped me get my 5490 working again! I had taken some drastic steps such as a disk reformat and a system restore, and then after downloading the latest firmware, the device appeared to have hung. This wasn't the case though, your support staff were quick to get me back on screen, with all problems resolved!! The support you folks offer is superb, and for a device like the 5490 which is now quite old, it demonstrates how robust your products are. Thanks, Mike.

Dear Strong, I have just downloaded the latest firmware for my Strong 5495 which also enhances my experience running ICE TV and would like to thank you for a great product with excellent, fast and reliable technical support. The Strong 5495 has all the features I want for HD viewing and recording of free to air television with this firmware upgrade and with the inclusion of ICE TV, vindicates my decision to purchase Strong. Thank you for your message of March 30th, advising me of the availability of the updated software for the SRT 5492. I installed Version 1.10. While I have not had the time to give the most recent update a full workout, it seems to work well. Congratulations on the improvements made to the 'Strong' Web Site - so much more informative! I was particularly pleased with the clear instructions on "How to download Software on USB Flash Drive".

Can I just take this opportunity though to formally thank one of your tech guys, Anura, for the exemplary service he gave me on the phone. I was incredibly concerned that the upload of the new update had done some terminal damage to our DVR however Anura walked me through the process of bypassing the problem we were having, and at the same time assisted me in installing the new update. It is unfortunately getting rarer and rarer to receive such amazing service from organizations so I wanted to take the time to acknowledge when some amazing service occurred.

Just want to let you know that following advice from your (Technical) Dept about 3.15pm today, the system is now operating. He advised the correct AV selector on the DVD/VHS unit, which somehow had been changed since removing STB for repairs. He was quick to detect the problem and knew his job. Thanks very much.

Thank you for the reply just to let you know we are so pleased with the new strong 5492 as we have got so used to it for taping different shows at different times of the night , both John and myself Diana are aged pensioners we found taping to be easy peasy as a lot of programs we could delete after we had viewed them. Congratulations for the new technology the product is magical thank you so much for something so easy.

I would like to express my gratitude to your Company for the great service I was given on Friday 28 August 2009. I took a faulty receiver to your office/factory at Hallam. The receptionist was extremely helpful and she very efficiently dealt with my problem. Within minutes she had organized a Technician to look at the faulty Receiver. The Technician was also very efficient, he quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem and in about 10 minutes I was able to leave with the Receiver repaired. Please convey my sincere gratitude to your staff for their efforts - they provided the very best in customer care and are great ambassadors for Strong. It's been a real pleasure to do business with your Company.
