SRT 5405/5405E Frequently Asked Questions

I have connected SRT 5405 to the TV set using the Composite Video Output (Yellow RCA/Cinch connector) and it failed to deliver a video signal to the TV screen. How do I get it to work?

1- Make sure your TV is set to the correct AV Input source (e.g. AV1, AV 2, etc.)
2- SRT 5405 is set to output 1080i High Definition video resolution at the factory. Since the Composite Video Output cannot carry video resolution in excess of 576i, the video resolution output needs to be reset at 576i. Simply press on the unit's Remote Control handset: - the EXIT button once - the FORMAT button as many times as required until 576i flashes on the front display of the SRT 5405 at which point you will see a NO SERVICE message appear on your TV screen, because SRT 5405 has yet to scan in the channels receivable at your location. Press MENU, then use the arrow buttons to select INSTALL and press OK. SRT 5405 will ask for an INPUT PIN. Please enter the factory set default value being 0000 (four zeros, using the numeric buttons). Select the AUTO SEARCH option, then press OK. Upon completing a search for receivable channels, SRT 5405 will store the scanned channels and give you access to those channels.
