DVR (Digital
Video Recorder) Ready are Digital Set Top Boxes which can record on
an external USB or eSATA Hard Drive (sold separately). These DVR Ready
units replace
your VCR or analogue DVD Recorder; which cannot directly record Digital
TV. They will also allow you to watch digital television in high definition
through your existing analogue TV. Providing superior picture quality
and improved reception. They receive all Free to Air Digital Channels,
using your existing aerial (depending on the state of your aerial

DVRs
also offer Time Shift (on most models) which allows you to pause and
rewind live TV. Some DVR Ready units can allow you to watch multiple
file formats i.e.; Divx, MOV, AVI etc., as well as view JPEGs (Digital
